Wanabe — Book Trailer

Project Overview:
This project involved creating a visually engaging and heartfelt book trailer for Wanabe by Millicent Haik, a children’s story centered on self-discovery, identity, and the true meaning of happiness. The trailer was designed to capture the whimsical tone of the book while clearly conveying its emotional message to both young readers and adults.

Creative Direction & Inspiration:
Inspired by the story’s forest setting and gentle moral lesson, the visual style embraces bright colors, soft illustrations, and playful motion. The animated presentation reflects Wanabe’s journey of longing, transformation, and ultimately self-acceptance. The tone remains warm and inviting, aligning with the book’s themes of individuality and inner fulfillment.

Production Process:
As the Book Trailer Creator, I combined animated visuals, smooth transitions, and child-friendly typography to bring the story to life. Careful pacing and visual emphasis were used to guide viewers through Wanabe’s emotional arc without overwhelming the narrative.
