This project was the design and development of a bespoke author website for Linda Fortner, crafted to elevate her online presence and provide a welcoming hub for readers, reviewers, and potential book buyers. The goal was to create a site that reflects Linda’s voice and published work while offering clear, streamlined navigation to key areas like her book details, author background, reviews, ordering options, and contact information.

The inspiration for this site came from the desire to build an elegant yet accessible platform that supports Linda’s ongoing engagement with her audience. By structuring the site around her core content — including featured books and author insights — I focused on ensuring visitors could quickly connect with her work and subscribe to updates. Emphasis was placed on visual storytelling through strategic layout, clean typography, and cohesive design elements that complement the author’s identity.

Throughout the build, I prioritized responsive performance, accessibility, and intuitive interaction patterns. The homepage acts as a welcoming gateway, with clear pathways to deeper content like the “About,” “Book,” and “Review” sections. Engaging call-to-action elements such as a mailing list signup help foster reader loyalty, while seamless integration with external purchase platforms ensures a frictionless experience for visitors looking to order her books.
